Butterfly magic with flower border in the left margin

Pink and butterflies both remain all-time favourites for cards with a feminine touch.
This pretty bright pink cardstock enhances the dainty details of the butterfly die.

The main feature - butterfly magic - comes with Tattered Lace magazine issue 20.
The border is one of 4 that come as free dies with Tattered Lace magazine #17. I did not cut it through, so that the straight edge on the left remained.
The birthday die comes from the Tattered Lace Happy Birthday Plaque set.
Self-adhesive pearls completed the picture.
With all the detail, the card took only 10 minutes to make. I placed the border die, oval die and sentiment die all together on the pink cardstock, so I only needed to roll through the Big Shot once. The butterfly was die-cut separately.
The card is 14,5x14,5 so those crafters who do not have an envelope punch board can use a standard square envelope.
I am entering this for the Butterflies and margin challenge - check it out and play along.
I love reading your feedback, so please feel free to leave a comment.
Happy crafting!

Botanical theme

I used a combination of dies here - from Spellbinders, Tattered Lace and Apple Blossom.

Although I love the design on the Spellbinders die, I have seldom used it - maybe because it is in a size that makes for a card that is too large to my personal liking for rectangular cards. When trimming it down to fit behind a mat that comfortably sits on a 15cm square card, I could find a perfect 'flow' for the flourish from the flowers in the corner.
The flowers are handmade, cut from peach metallic shimmer cardstock, inked on the edges with grapefruit ink.
The frame was cut using two sizes Tattered Lace decorative edge dies.
The birdcage was heat-embossed on silver on curious metal (shimmer) cardstock, using a stamp from an Apple Blossom set, Birds and bees.
The teal background is paper from the Lady Pattern paper range.
The tiny and delicate flouriesh is the 'fallout' from the Tattered Lace mini handbag die.
